A Sweet Surprise

Today's blog shall be brief.  I recently found out that my husband has been working on a surprise for me and it all goes down today.  Discovery of this event was made due to a possible conflict of interest with PTO, my husband had to say "you can't go."  He was a little frustrated and felt it spoiled the element of complete surprise.  Let's just say that I love a great surprise, but the thoughtfulness means more than anything.

Let me tell you, it has been a rough week in our household. Morning wake up times have been a struggle for our entire family of 4. The bedtime routine has been littered with tantrums, although I'm really trying to improve my behavior, and my boys have been leaving me feeling like a soggy french fry at the end of the night.  Between the rushed "hope we aren't late" drives to school and "I forgot to do that" moments, my week seems to have gone by in a blur.  Today has been no different, except that in a couple of hours I'll be heading out to an nice evening with my husband!  Hooray!  Desperation has set in at a good time, as I'll be getting a much needed break!

I am aware that my husband is taking me 2 places tonight.  Dinner will be our first stop, although I'm not certain where we will be going.  The final stop of the evening is much bigger than dinner.  I'm sure you are wondering what exactly my dear husband has in store. Well, let me give you a few clues and see if you can figure it out.

My clues to you on the big date:
1. It will take us into downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.
2. Beautiful, talented, & blonde females are involved (one tall, one petite).
3. My youngest son will be very jealous.

Did you figure it out?  I'll report back on Monday with the details!

Has anyone everyone pulled off a really great surprise for you?  Have you ever pulled one off for someone you care about?

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! TGIF!

*PS  Thanks for babysitting Mom!
